Williamsburg Talk

Since I live within walking distance of Jamestown Settlement I thought it would be fun to provide information to potential visitors from someone who has lived here for more than 20 years. Additionally, although retired now, I have worked at the Jamestown Settlement as an historic interpreter and taught US History to high school students.

My approach is to provide information that is widely available from a number of web sites as well as “insider information” available only from a resident and consolidate it into one source for families that might be contemplating a trip to the Williamsburg area or Jamestown The object is to provide the information that I wished I had known when I was traveling about the country and the world with my family.

Just “Click” on Jamestown Information and I’ll do my best to provide information and advice that might be worthwhile. I will be adding information occassionally, so if you think it is worthwhile, you may want to “bookmark” this page. I also will include information on Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown which are nearby.

You’ll note that this site also contains writing samples. That’s because I write articles, press releases and such for the Internet as my part time retirement job. It also keeps me out of my wife’s hair!
